Teacher Central has progressed through a number of developments as it has matured into the all rounded teaching resource that it is today. Originally developed from a theatre in education play in the early nineties to tackle the lack of information in the education system to an impending Aids epidemic. This was further compounded by the then 'Clause 28' that restricted freedom of information in schools, putting young peoples lives at risk in a gagged and bound education system.

Developed from a single teaching resource, Teacher Central has become a much more sophisticated proposition for those in the teaching profession that caters for not only PSHE in secondary schools but also a multitude of requirements from teacher training to experienced professionals.  From the development of single resources which were subject specific, right through to the highly acclaimed online magazine PSHE News, Teacher Central has grown and evolved at every stage, learnt from our experiences, and been guided by our teaching community subscribers.
